Urban Challenges & Solutions
I am focused on Urban Water Resilience and flood mitigation. As sea levels rise, many coastal cities face existential threats from storm surges. My work involves designing "Sponge City" frameworks—using permeable pavements and subterranean cisterns to manage extreme rainfall events while revitalizing local biodiversity.
Background & Experience
With over 15 years of experience in civil engineering and project management, I have spearheaded some of Northern Europe’s most ambitious climate adaptation projects. My career began in Copenhagen’s public works department, where I helped oversee the transition toward carbon-neutral infrastructure. I am a frequent keynote speaker at international climate summits and have authored several papers on the integration of green-blue infrastructure in dense urban environments. I believe that engineering is not just about concrete, but about building harmony between the built environment and the natural world.
